PIANO

A piano is a musical instrument which is generally a percussion instrument but in some cases can be a string instrument also.It is played by the means of a musical keyboard. It is widely used in classical mucis, jazz, chamber music and accompaniment. A piano is played by pressing the keys using fingers. In a string piano the harder you strike the keys the louder the sound is.

Piano is a short form of the italian word pinaforte, piano means soft and forte means strong.

Early pianos had duplex scaling and may look very complex compared to the piano of today.
